Haber I was recently in the market for Wi-Fi router to expand my 4G WiMAX ready connection to devices that have no support for USB modem I bought used. USB modem works fine on my Windows laptop, but not for my older Mac, Wii, or Netflix-capable Blu Ray player to work. I was thinking about getting the router directly from clear, but they offer the unit had the features I do not need or want to pay for most, not least the ability to be powered by batteries. In the end I chose Cradlepoint MBR 900, because: It's clear that WiMAX 4G USB modem supports wired connections that support what I needed for my BluRay player for Netflix, it 802.X wireless connections, what I did Wii required and supports older Mac, it has the necessary security functions (authentication and encryption, I got the unit about a week after ordering. It was easy to set up an important issue, set the machine to clear 4G WiMax, which requires a call to their support staff to solve Check out the post about how to solve this: [...] 10 of 10 people found the following comment useful. Cradle Point Mobile Broadband Router B. Furman am using Cradle Point Router with USB Mobile Broadband Verizon mobile device. I had not heard of cradle point, but they are about the only company that actually primarily dedicated to mobile broadband routers that I found. I was very surprised and pleased to see that point cradle several superior properties. As a site of quality packaging for their products and excellent documentation. Especially these days if you are lucky enough to order printed documentation with an electronic product available. Cradle Point first site I checked to see if my mobile device is supported and Verizon was. He was very kind to their website to find the answer. I configure the router in 30 minutes I plugged the USB modem will find mobile router but the router does not have the modem. But in the documentation that came with the router, he said, the potential and the need for one or two firmware updates to fix the problem. Documentation and website will guide you through the process. I've seen the upgrade, and just like the modem was, and I was on the internet about the Cradlepoint router. I use a desktop computer, a netbook and a laptop in our home network, with a mixture of XP and Microsoft Windows operating system systems 7 Everything works well and has for about a month ago, and since I bought the router was. 13 of 14 people found this review helpful. Leave after less than four weeks by QuickThoughts06 right out of the box MBR900 worked perfectly as a LAN router and a wireless Pantech UM175 Aircard for internet service. Unfortunately, they stop working after less than four weeks. Basically, locked the service router Cradle Point and could not provide a successful solution that provides a RMA number and sent me a refurbished unit as a replacement, which I refused. Instead, he returned to Amazon for a full refund. Support Cradle Point seemed well informed through their IM service, but be aware that their service is limited to M - F during the day Pacific time zone activity until 20:00 or so. I had the opportunity to leave an e-mail that took five days for a response (including weekends). There are some routers can use the USB air card style, so I'm disappointed, but willing to wait for Netgear, Belkin, Cisco, or a similar product, before heading out again. Cradle Point has the right idea, but you can keep track of quality problems to face when they become better known and to compete with larger suppliers. See all 56 reviews ....
