Maki Ling This switch does exactly what it was designed for, sharing a direct Ethernet connection. Do not expect to VLANs, multilayer switching, VLAN trunks, load balancing, etc. This is not routing, NAT and firewall capabilities to configure. You would use this option if you already have a router between your internal network and the Internet, and you have additional Ethernet ports. If so, this is the product for you. The installation is easy if you can connect a network card in your PCI slot, you can protect your network in minutes. (If you do not know how to connect to a network card, it will take about 5 minutes longer) Anyway do not buy a hub. A switch is full duplex means that it can send and receive data and at the same time.
